The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
