And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
