Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 The honourable recorders. 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
