We have placed the signs of the Zodiac in the sky, and decked it out for those who can see; 16 And We have guarded it from every Satan damned. 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 We have spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains. Everything We have caused to grow therein is justly weighed; 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 There is not a thing but its storehouses are with Us. But We only send down each thing in an appropriate measure: 21 And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof. 22 And certainly We! We it is Who give life, and cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind. 24 and it is thy Lord shall muster them, and He is All-wise, All-knowing. 25
