۞ Thy Lord has decreed you shall not serve any but Him, and to be good to parents, whether one or both of them attains old age with thee; say not to them 'Fie' neither chide them, but speak unto them words respectful, 23 "And look after them with kindness and love, and say: "O Lord, have mercy on them as they nourished me when I was small." 24 Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts; if you are righteous, He is most forgiving to those who constantly turn to Him. 25 And give to the kindred his due and to the Miskin (poor) and to the wayfarer. But spend not wastefully (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift. [Tafsir. At-Tabari, Vol. 10, Page 158 (Verse 9:60)]. 26 Do not be a wasteful spender. Squanderers are the brothers of satan. Satan was faithless to his Lord. 27 But if you turn away from them to seek the Mercy of your Lord, hoping to attain it, then speak to them with gentle words. 28 And let not thy hand be chained to thy neck nor open it with a complete opening, lest thou sit down rebuked, denuded. 29 Surely thy Lord outspreads and straitens His provision unto whom He will; surely He is aware of and sees His servants. 30
