THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
