And recite to them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said unto his father and his folk: What worship ye? 70 They said, "We worship idols and will continue to cling to them." 71 He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? 72 "Or do you good or harm?" 73 They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so. 74 (Abraham) said, "Do you know that what you worship 75 You and your ancient forefathers? 76 They are all enemies to me; all, except the Lord of the Universe 77 Who created me and showed me the way, 78 Who gives me food and drink, 79 And when I am sick, then He restores me to health 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 and who, [hope, will forgive me my faults on Judgment Day! 82 My Lord, bestow wisdom upon me; unite me with the righteous; 83 and grant me the power to convey the truth unto those who will come after me, 84 And make me of the heirs of the garden of bliss 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 “And do not disgrace me on the day when everyone will be raised.” 87 the Day when wealth and sons will be of no avail, 88 Unless it be he, who shall bring unto Allah a whole heart, 89 On the Day of Judgment Paradise will be brought near the pious 90 And Hell made visible to those who had gone astray. 91 And it shall be said unto them where is that which ye were wont to worship? 92 Instead of Allah? Can they help you or help themselves? 93 Thereupon they will be hurled into hell - they, as well as all [others] who had been lost in grievous error, 94 and so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them. 95 And they will say, and they will be quarrelling in it: 96 "By God, we were plainly in error 97 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; 98 It was nothing but the evildoers who led us astray. 99 So we have no intercessors, 100 Nor any loving friend. 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 Verily there is a sign in this, but many of them do not believe. 103 surely, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 104

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
