1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In gardens of delight, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
