Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 [Long] before those [who now deny resurrection] did Noah's people give the lie to this truth, and [so did] the folk of Ar-Rass, and [the tribes of] Thamud 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
