(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 Thamud, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
