▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 As a warning unto men, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About the criminals, 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
