Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, writers 11 They know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
