Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are verses of the wise Book. 2 And a guidance and grace for those who do good, 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 Such are on guidance from their Lord, and such are the successful. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 Whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a person, he turns away in his arrogance, as though he had not heard them -- as though his ears were sealed: give him, then, the tidings of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 To dwell therein. The promise of Allah is true: and He is Exalted in Power, Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. 10 This is God's creation; now show me what those have created that are apart from Him! Nay, but the evildoers are in manifest error. 11
