The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 And spreading shade, 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 We have made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
