The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
