The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
