The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
