[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 It is He who revives and makes to die, and to Him belong the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not understand! 80 On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. 81 They say: when we are dead, and have become dust and bones, shall we verily be raised up? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before. It is but of the ancients' fictitious tales' 83 Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!" 84 They will quickly reply, "It belongs to God." Say, "Will you not, then, take heed?" 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and of the Great Throne' 86 They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?" 87 Say: "In whose hand rests the mighty dominion over all things, and who is it that protects, the while there is no protection against Him? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 88 They will say: "God's." Say: "Then why are you so deluded?" 89 In fact We have sent the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 who has knowledge of the Unseen and the Visible; high exalted be He, above that they associate! 92
