Noah's folk denied the messengers (of Allah), 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
