The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is not a jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
