Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
