Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; 28 When I have completed shaping him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall you down before him in prostration." 29 All the angels prostrated themselves, 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?" 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 Allah said: then get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art one damned. 34 and the curse shall be on you till the Day of Judgement!" 35 He said: my Lord! respite me then till the Day whereon they will be raised up. 36 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 Except the chosen ones among Your creatures." 40 Allah said: this is the path leading unto Me straight. 41 and you have no authority over My servants except the erring ones who follow you. 42 And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
