The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no hire therefor; and my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
