Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 "It (this Quran) is only a Reminder for all the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
