Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
