The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
