Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
