He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 You pay full attention, 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 lofty and pure, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 mother, father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 laughing and joyous 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 with darkness overspread: 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
