The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
