Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
