S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 nay, but the unbelievers glory in their schism. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar. 4 Does he claim that all the deities are [but] one God? Verily, a most strange thing is this!" 5 And the Council of them depart, saying 'Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired. 6 We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication. 7 What, out of all of us, has the Remembrance been sent down to him (Prophet Muhammad)' No, they are doubtful about My Remembrance, no, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or have they the treasuries of thy Lord's mercy, the All-mighty, the All-giving? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 The army is defeated as (were) the confederates. 11 The people of Nuh and Ad, and Firon, the lord of spikes, rejected (apostles) before them. 12 and the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the Wood -- these were the confederates. 13 Each of them gave the lie to Messengers and My decree of chastisement came upon them. 14
