Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 So did they not see the sky above them – how We have made it and beautified it, and there are no cracks in it? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
