Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17

God the Almighty always says the truth.
