Hast thou not regarded thy Lord, how He has stretched out the shadow? Had He willed, He would have made it still. Then We appointed the sun, to be a guide to it; 45 Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp. 46 And it is Allah Who has ordained the night as a garment for you, and the sleep as a repose of death, and the day as the time of return to life. 47 And it is He who sendeth forth the winds as a herald before His mercy and We send down from the heaven water pure. 48 to revive the barren land and provide water for many creatures, cattle, and people. 49 And verily We have repeated it among them that they may remember, but most of mankind begrudge aught save ingratitude. 50 Had it been Our will, We could have raised a warner in every village. 51 So do not listen to the disbelievers and, with this Qur’an, fight a great war against them. 52 ۞ It was He who let forth the two seas, this one is palatably sweet and this salt, a bitter taste, and He set a barrier between them, and a refuge which is forbidden. 53 And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation]. 54 And yet, some people worship, instead of God, things that can neither benefit them nor harm them: thus, he who denies the truth does indeed turn his back on his Sustainer! 55 We did not send you but as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner. 56 Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way." 57 Also trust in the Living One who never dies and glorify Him with His praise. He has sufficient knowledge of the sins of His servants. 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then He mounted the Throne. The Beneficent! Ask anyone informed concerning Him! 59 And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion. ۩ 60
