Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
