Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
