Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 until you visit the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
