Man asks, "When I am once dead, shall I be raised to life?" 66 Does he not remember that We created him when he did not exist? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 and thereupon We shall, indeed, draw forth from every group [of sinners] the ones that had been most determined in their disdainful rebellion against the Most Gracious: 69 And certainly We know best those who are most worthy of being burned therein. 70 There is not one of you who shall not go down to it: such is a thing decreed, determined by your Lord. 71 Then We shall deliver those that feared Allah and leave the wrong-doers there on their knees. 72 And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: which of the two portions is better in station and goodlier in company? 73 And yet, how many a generation have We destroyed before their time - [people] who surpassed them in material power and in outward show! 74 Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the Most Merciful prolong his life span until they see that which they were threatened, be it a punishment, or the Hour. Then shall they know whose is the worst place and who is weaker in hosts' 75 "And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return." 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Has he gained knowledge of the unseen, or made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah? 78 No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively. 79 and We shall inherit all the resources and hosts of which he boasts, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. 81 Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents unto them. 82
