The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied, "Are we to believe in you when your followers are but the lowest of the low?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Then We drowned the rest afterwards 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
