And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And every soul came, along with a herder and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ Man's other self' will say: "O our Sustainer! It was not I that led his conscious mind into evil [nay,] but it had gone far astray [of its own accord]! 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
