The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 On the day when they are dragged upon their faces in the fire – “Taste the heat of hell.” 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
