Nay, by the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
