The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
