Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
