Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
