Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8
