In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Qur'an. 1 Soon will the time come when the unbelievers will wish they were Muslims. 2 Leave them to eat and enjoy, and let them be preoccupied with (false) hope. They will come to know! 3 Never did We destroy a population that had not a term decreed and assigned beforehand. 4 No nation can outstrip its term, nor do they put it back. 5 They say: 'You to whom the Remembrance is sent down, you are indeed mad. 6 "Why do you not bring angels to us if you are of the truthful ones?" 7 We do not send down angels except for a genuine purpose, at which time none will be given any further respite. 8 Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian. 9 And indeed We sent Noble Messengers before you, to the former nations. 10 And whenever a Messenger came to them, they never failed to mock him. 11 Even so do we let it creep into the hearts of the sinners - 12 They do not believe in it, and indeed the example of the former people has already passed. 13 Though We opened to them a gate in heaven, and still they mounted through it, 14 they would still have said: "Surely our eyes have been dazzled; rather, we have been enchanted." 15

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
