Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O THOU human being! 1 By the wise Qur'an. 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 on a straight path; 4 the sending down of the All-mighty, the All-wise, 5 That you may warn a people whose ancestors had never been warned, who are therefore heedless. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 You should only warn those who follow the Quran and have fear of the Beneficent God without seeing Him. Give them the glad news of their receiving forgiveness and an honorable reward (from God). 11 It is We who bring the dead to life and records the deeds of human beings and their consequences (of continual effects). We keep everything recorded in an illustrious Book. 12
