Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; 36 And verily they hinder them from the way, whilst they deem that they are rightly guided. 37 When such a person comes to Us, he will say [to his comrade], "If only you had been as far away from me as east is from west. What an evil comrade!" 38 Because of the harm you did, it would be of no benefit to you today, you are partners in the punishment. 39 Can you, (O Prophet), then make the deaf hear, or direct to the Right Way the blind or one lost in manifest error? 40 And if We take thee away, We shall surely take vengeance on them. 41 Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. 42 So hold fast to all that has been revealed to thee: for, behold, thou art on a straight way; 43 And it is undoubtedly an honour for you and your people; and you will soon be questioned. 44 And ask those of Our apostles whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah? 45
