Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
